The 13 Days of Creepmas: Day 4

"On the Fourth Day of Creepmas, my true love gave to me
Four cryptic cemeteries!"

(Yes, you read that right.  I'm being clever with words today...)  ;-)

Winter cemetery
The circular scope makes me feel like I have a zombie's eye view...

(Highgate Cemetery, London, England)
This is more creepING than creepY, if you get my meaning.

Now, this pic is TOTALLY creepy to me!  Could this be... Santa's elf graveyard???

I don't think I want to know...

Check out the cemetery nearest you and see what kinds of creepy stuff you can find there, besides the obvious (if it can creep GOTHS out, it must be scary!!).

  1. I just love the bottom photo! I can envision skeletons emerging from below those creepy-looking grave stones.

    1. I know! I don't think the info was there about where that was taken, but I can see all sorts of creepy things rising up out of the ground!! That kind of cemetery would definitely give me nightmares!

  2. Santa's elf graveyard is just so ... awful. Good heaven's, do we have to subject our cemeteries to Christmas Tackiness, too? Ugh. :o)

    1. I know, it's just nasty and painful! I could NOT believe it when I saw that picture, but of course, it IS real. Unlike Santa and his elves... :-(

  3. I love all of the graveyards except for the third one, with all the Xmas stuff. Now that is waaaay creepier than a lovely peaceful old graveyard. 'Normal' people have no idea how weird they are, ha ha!

    1. You are soooo right!! That one is creepy on SO many levels. In general, the entire American view of death is creepy! We try to pretend that no one dies, they just "pass on", and we do our best to make their bodies indestructable, and to hide the "horror" of death from our children. That picture is the result of this, and it's pretty sick, IMHO.

The comments on this post alone make me realize how REALLY different goths are from everyone else. Isn't it great??? :-)
