The 13 Days of Creepmas: Day 10

"On the Tenth Day of Creepmas, my true love gave to me
Ten haunted houses!"

(Yes, I know this is the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland...)

And finally:

Okay, so the last one probably isn't really haunted... but it IS creepy!!  ;-)

All these pictures can be found on Google images under "haunted houses".  Are they all actually haunted?  Who knows... But they're all real places (well, except for the cake), and I think they're all really creepy!

  1. And I'd like to live in absolutely every single one of them. Except if they really were haunted. Then maybe not so much. ;o)

    1. Including the cake?? hehehehe

Well, they ARE all supposed to be really haunted, but of course, you can't believe everything you read! Personally, I wouldn't mind giving the third and fourth from the end a try (the two just above the Lemp Mansion). Most of the others are a bit too run down for me. But then, you're experienced with fixer-uppers, so that shouldn't bother you any! ;-)

  2. I so much would like to build a replica of the Addams house in gingerbread. Wouldn't that be something for creepmas?
All those houses are so beautiful and it is so sad that they are abandoned.

    1. It's not just sad, it's criminal! I think houses have souls, not like ours, maybe, but still a soul. And I do think it's terribly sad when people just walk away and dump them.

How funny that you should mention wanting to do a goth gingerbread house... I was thinking the same thing last night! Not about making the Addams house, but making a gothic mansion type one. Let's do it!!! :-)

  3. The house third from the bottom resembles one that's near me, which is said to be haunted. Awesome photos and most really do look spooky.

    1. I'd definitely like to see the one near you! Have you ever been inside it? I'm not into the "ghost hunting" thing, but I've never been in a "real" haunted house, so I'm very curious, and most people I know haven't been in one, either. Apparently the hotel I stayed in when I was in Portland for a business conference is supposed to be haunted, but I never saw or heard anything.

    2. No, I haven't been in the alleged haunted house near me, mainly because someone still lives in it; the City Attorney, actually. I've seen it though. It's an old mansion that was built around 1871.

    3. An ATTORNEY lives there??? Then it's either not really haunted, or s/he has the ghosts whipped. NOTHING is scarier than an attorney!! (I've worked for them, I know!) ;-)
