Morticia Addams, My (Second) Favorite Feminist

Here's a rather fun article about Morticia Addams that you might enjoy:

Six Quotes That Prove Morticia Addams is a Feminist Queen  Who Has It All

I did love Anjelica Huston as Morticia in the Addams Family movies.  However, Carolyn Jones, who played her in the TV series, will always be MY favorite!!

Of course, you DO know that my Number One favorite feminist is Abby Scutio!  ;-)

  1. Ah Morticia! How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

I have a friend who looks a lot like Anjelica Huston. She loves being called Morticia.

    2. Oh yes, she dresses quite a bit like Morticia. She's very goth and metal.

    1. I know, you'd think it would be campy, but it isn't at all. I love it!

  3. There are not enough gothy characters, male and female i think :-) but maybe thats why we adore the few that exist this much!

  4. Carolyn Jones is my favourite Morticia, too. She's just so darn cute! Anjelica runs a very close second but I'd never call her version of Morticia cute. Abby is adorable ... I think it's safe to say we've probably watched every episode of NCIS at least five times - the spouse is a big fan. :P

I got your card yesterday, Lucretia. Thank you for the warm fuzzies. 💜 I need to be quicker on the delete button. ;)

    2. No, Ms. Huston is NOT cute in any sense of the word! I love her version of Morticia, but it's very different from Ms. Jones's. Both are excellent! And yes, every time they have an NCIS "Abby-thon" I have to watch!!

Glad you got the card, AND I'm glad you weren't faster on the delete button. We need warm fuzzies more than we need to hide our feelings. MUCH better on our blood pressure, ya know! ;-)

And the purple heart shows up perfectly on the e-mail for this post (I always get e-mails of the posts, I assume that's normal). :-)

  5. I was thinking about Carolyn Jones's Morticia earlier today, as I was beheading some dead-dried roses in a vase. She is one of my absolute favorite characters.
