September: "I'm SO Goth..."

"And think, as softly-sad you tread
Above the venerable Dead,
Time was, like thee they Life possest,
And Time shall be, that thou shalt Rest."

~Thomas Parnell, "A Night Piece on Death" (1721)

  1. That's a really lovely poem. When I was younger, I really loved War poems.

    1. I'm honestly not sure what kind of poem this one IS! Although I have read the entire thing, it doesn't feel like a war poem in particular, although it might be. But the picture just seemed to fit it so well. I also like certain war poems, especially the more introspective ones, like "The Man He Killed".
