I ADORE this dress!! Not sure if the geranium red color would flatter me, but I'd love the chance to see for myself!
I think this would be an awesome hat to wear to... well, many things. And it's actually not too expensive. Unfortunately, I just read in this post by Professor Z that this hat is of rather poor quality and fit. Perhaps I could make my own version of it, hmmmmm...
The Tea Party hat comes in two colors, and I love BOTH of them! Decisions, decisions...
Here are a few items I've bought from VTC, and my opinions of them on a scale of 1 to 5:
Cinnamon Apple Dipped Candles - They look and smell great... until you burn them. Unfortunately, they don't smell at all while they're burning, they burn very unevenly with glops suddenly falling off, and the glitter on them makes lots of sparks, so you really don't DARE leave them unattended. 1/5 :-(
Black Battenberg Lace Parasol - I LOVE this parasol! It keeps The Evil Sun away extremely well, while making you look lovely and elegant in the process. Also comes in white. 5/5 :-D
Flocked Organza Candy Bags - These are 7" high, perfect to store not only candy, but also jewelry or tarot decks! You get a set of three in the colors pictured. I LOVE these wonderful bags, and plan to get more as needed. 5/5 :-)
What's YOUR favorite fantasy store or catalog? I'd love to add to my collection of wishes!
Oooo, I have one of their old tea party hats and it's TO DIE FOR! Seriously, it's made really nicely. I used to wear it all the time ... on the dance floor. HA! I gave a kid a good thumping because he was being a real jerk to me (dancing into me, kicking me, etc) wearing that tea hat. I "removed" him from the dance floor by his throat. No, I'm not kidding. It was such a graceful move, all in time to the Sisters. :)
ReplyDeleteROFLMAO!!!! What I wouldn't give to have seen THAT... You are awesome!! ::HUGE GRIN::
DeleteI'm thinking of buying at least the red hat, since I'm now officially old enough to join the Red Hatters anyway -- it's a good excuse! ;-) But the other one is so gothily gorgeous, I'm seriously tempted to get both!
I get the VTC catalogue, too! It's always a treat to sit down and have a very long look through it. I've ordered a few things from them (mostly Hallowe'en stuff) and have always been happy with the quality.
ReplyDeleteThe one other catalogue I love getting is the Cody Foster wholesale catalogue. I swear, if I was rich I would order everything in there for the Attic! Good thing I'm not, because then there'd be that much more to pack up, right? ;o)
Franny, you removed him by the throat? That's so awesome! :D
Yes, I'm planning to get more Halloween things from them this year.
DeleteToo bad you have to have a retailer's license to get the Cody Foster catalog, that lets me out! Oh well...
Oh wow! I have to check that out!
ReplyDeleteHave fun!! :-)
DeleteI've had to just stop looking at it when it comes in the mail, because there is this red velvet couch that I DESIRE, and I know I will just go insane and buy that expensive sucker. Then, I will have to move out and live on the couch, down by the river.
ReplyDeleteI think I know the couch you mean, and I would almost KILL for it, if I had somewhere to put it where it wouldn't be shredded or covered with cat hair! But it might be fun to live on a red velvet couch by the river... ;-)
DeleteCheck out The Pyramid Collection. You can get a free catalog in the mail even though it takes forever to get sent out. They have a variety of really cool things!
ReplyDeleteI do actually get their catalog as well. Thanks for reminding me! There are some awesome things in it, but again, they're soooo expensive, so I rarely buy anything from them.
DeleteI didn't know the store until now. The things you've posted on your blog all look lovely. Too bad the candles were of poor quality, they look quite nice ;3
ReplyDeleteI know, it was a REAL shame. The scent disappeared as soon as I lit them! But they'd be okay if you use them just for decorations and don't burn them.
